Food Development Technologist - Gloucestershire

Peter Smith is recruiting for a Food Development Technologist to work for a Food and Drinks R&D company based in Gloucestershire, on a full time, permanent basis. This client provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide.

This post will report into the Food Manufacturing Technologies department and be part of the Product Innovation Team.

Responsibilities will be to:
-Lead the team, and undertake a range of activities including, research, consultancy and training
-Design, deliver and promote Food Safety Management systems, Hygienic engineering, and practice related services
-Interpret scientific results stemming from testing and trials
-Undertake business development within the Food Safety Management area
-Respond to Technical Enquiries

On offer is a competitive salary (£22,000 - £30,000) and excellent benefits plus holiday exchange scheme.

Job Summary:
The successful Food Development Technologist will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
· A degree in a relevant subject. Relevant higher degree could be an advantage
· Demonstrable understanding and experience of NPD and Food Processing
· Technical skills within the food industry across multiple food sectors.
· Good verbal and communication skills
· Effective time management skills
· IT literate
· Full UK/EU driving licence
