Food & Beverage Team Leader

Duration: fixed term contract until 12th May 2022.

The Hours: 1,462.5 hrs per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. Working 5 out of 7 days from mid February until November, with less days (average 2 days) in the winter months. The role will include working weekends and public/ school holidays. The shift pattern can change frequently based on business needs but generally starting around 8am-6pm depending on the season and events etc.

What it's like to work here

There are 2 F&B outlets at Berrington. Currently just operating from the Stables Café with restrictions and we look to reopen our main tearoom soon. The Servant’s Hall tearoom is attached to the kitchen and serving main meals, light bites, homemade cakes and barista style drinks and our Stables café is normally open at our busy periods, all in takeaway, selling soft scoop ice cream, grab and go food, snacks and barista style drinks too. This tailors to our dog walkers and family groups that want to grab something quickly whereas our tearoom more of a sit down experience.

What you'll be doing

You’ll enjoy leading a small and friendly team, assisting the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver an all-round welcoming experience the moment our visitors walk through our door. We need someone with strong leadership skills who can motivate the team to continue our excellent F&B service. You’ll be here to ensure the team are competently trained and compliant with relevant legislation, you’ll also make sure every food and drink order is spot on and brilliantly presented. You’ll also keep on top of ensuring the outlet is well presented and tables are cleared efficiently. We really do try to create a family atmosphere here at Berrington and welcome you to join our awesome team.

You will not be required to work nights, split shifts and will be off on Christmas Day as the property is fully closed to the public.

You will receive a bespoke induction on appointment and further professional training & development opportunities are available.
