Prism 7 recruitment are working on behalf of our client based in the beautiful village Liphook, Hampshire to recruit for a Food & Beverage Supervisor.

As Food & Beverage Supervisor...

You will supervise all Food and Beverage operations within the resort ensuring a high standard of service and providing a fine dining experience to guests. Assisting in the day to day running of the department and deputising in the absence of the F&B Manager and Assistant F&B Manager.

Responsibilities as Food & Beverage Supervisor...

  • In conjunction with the F& B Manager and Assistant F&B Manager, responsible for maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant and bar areas.
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the department being responsible for shifts and deputising in the absence of the F&B Manager and Assistant F&B Manager.
  • To supervise and assign tasks to ensure the completion of the daily cleaning of the restaurants, service areas and equipment. To ensure a high level of presentation.
  • To assist / perform pre-service briefings, and check daily menu’s with the senior chef on duty.
  • To assist the management with supervising staff including on the job training, updating rotas on the people system and reporting any staff issues to the F&B Manager immediately..
  • To ensure dietary sheets are provided for guests with specific requirements
  • Responsible for documenting all sales and forward all room charge receipts to front of house to be filed in guest accounts. To ensure record keeping of complimentary items to account for stock deficiencies.
  • Assisting with the profitability of the department.
  • Responsible for developing good relations with all guests and club members
  • Responsible for handling guests comments (and complaint resolution) and informing a member of the restaurant management either verbally or in writing.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high standard of work performance and conduct at all times,lead by example.
  • Responsible for ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance of yourself and all staff (full uniform must be worn on duty)
  • To promote greater health and safety awareness amongst all departmental staff and to highlight areas of concern
  • Responsible for the security of the restaurant, ensuring stocks are maintained and priced correctly
  • To assist with the organisation of additional functions/parties as required
  • Ensure a full shift handover is completed.
  • In the absence of Manager Ensuring restaurant staff are fully briefed before every shift, checking daily menu’s with the senior chef on duty and staff appearance is in line with company dress code, allocating tasks during the briefing.

Requirements needed as Food & Beverage Supervisor...

  • Food hygiene certificate, training can be given.
  • Food and beverage management and/or hotel management qualification advantageous but not essential.
  • Working in a high quality restaurant.
  • Experience of supervising staff in a quality restaurant preferable.
  • Health and safety experience desirable.
  • Good motivational skills
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Effective communication skills dealing with both internal and external contacts.
  • Attention to detail
  • Nutritional and Allergy requirements
  • Have a working knowledge of the approach to healthy eating in order to advise guests and answer queries
  • Full understanding and knowledge of the menu.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays subject to rota and a willingness to extend of change hours and days of work from time to time upon request and subject to operational requirements.
