Food & Beverage Manager

Posted 2 February by Equal Approach Limited Ended
My client is a prestigious wedding and events venue set in a large Staffordshire estate. They are now looking for a new Food and Beverage Manager to play a crucial part in their team. Due to the nature of the events hosted at the venue a passion for detail and a commitment to maintaining an impeccable level of service is essential. How guests perceive the venues and their experience of the service is vital.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to high standards and take real pride in making sure that guests receive a service and experience that is second to none. Standards will matter to the successful candidate and you will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the service you provide. As the role develops there is the opportunity to take over general management of the venue. If you have a REAL passion for outstanding service and truly believe that the customer's experience matters then we would like to hear from you.
The venue runs up to 650 events in a year and they have plans to diversify the services on offer to clients. Hours will include weekends to cover events with time off in lieu during the week. During peak event season hours can rise to up to 60 per week.
You will be in charge of liaising with suppliers, the purchasing manager, Head Chef, Events Managers and the wider team to ensure that events are supplied with the highest standard of food and beverages whilst overseeing waiting and serving staff some of whom are regular, others covering on a temporary basis. You will liaise with external staffing suppliers to ensure that cover is in place. You will manage stock levels and make sure that appropriate staffing levels are in place.
You will also manage your own budget and pricing.
The client is keen to receive applications from candidates with a Forces background and / or solid experience as a Maitre'd of a high-end venue.

If you need to receive this information in an alternative format, please contact Equal Approach and we will take reasonable steps to arrange this for you.

Our client is an Equal Opportunities employer and we actively encourage candidate applications from all sections of the community.
