£20,000 to £25,000 (DOE) plus Company Benefits

Due to continued success in the insurance industry our client are looking for a FNOL Claims Team Leader to join their already expanding First Notification of Loss Claims department.
Our client who are an international insurance company and insurance broker have been trading for over 17 years and they continue to go from strength to strength.

The Role:

The Claims Leader is responsible for the day-to-day technical and claims performance, activities and guidance of their team members. The team leaders sets targets, implements guidelines, and assists with any issues the employees may have.

The Claims Team leader has to ensure that all members understand the team's targets/objectives and work together to achieve them. In addition the team leader must have the technical know- how and drive to succeed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

"Set individual and team goals or objectives to ensure the team meets the expectations of clients, business partners and the business.
"Supervise, train or guide team members to ensure team members achieve individual and business targets.
"Monitor and review the performance of team members through observation, analysis of management information and customer and technical feedback.
"Provide ad-hoc coaching, amending and revising workload as necessary, and utilizing support functions where necessary.
"To have an excellent understanding of claims reserving and the company's reserving philosophy, motor claims third party handling including intervention.
"To ensure workloads are managed across the team from a customer perspective, call and file management.
"To have an excellent understanding of claims reserving and the company's reserving philosophy, FNOL reporting and Own Damage claims handling.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

To apply for this vacancy you must be educated to at least Grade C GCSE Level in Mathematics and English, preferably working towards gaining a Management qualification at level 3 or Insurance qualification. Legal qualifications desirable.

Preferred Skills:

"Clear and professional communication skills (both verbal and written).
"Experience of claims skills which include recovery and subrogation handling and process liability knowledge and litigation awareness and process.
"Excellent knowledge of motor claims handling, ideally including intervention/capture of claims.
