Floor Fitter

We are now recruiting skilled Floor Fitters to join the Sunseeker family. Playing a pivotal role in the production of the worlds finest luxury motor yachts, you will be a Carpenter or Floor Fitter from either the construction or boat building/marine industry. Laying a wide range of high value solid wood flooring, safety flooring and occasionally carpet, the Sunseeker Flooring Team work on the various production lines of Sunseeker models, from the 48ft San Remo, through to the flagship 155ft Super Yacht.

The position includes the fitting of the following floor types on luxury motor yachts usually positioned in the water:

  • Inductrial safety flooing (e.g. Altro)
  • Wood floors (e.g. Cadorin)
  • Luxury vinyl flooring (e.g.Amtico)
  • Carpet (training can be provided)

Applicants need the ability to read scaled drawings and the competence to scribe in with tight tolerances with high value solid wood floor products. Building to the required quality standard to defined deadlines is a key element of the role. On the job coaching will be provided to those unfamiliar with boat construction methods.
