Flights & Operations Executive - Tour Operator - Hampshire up to £25K

This luxury Tour Operator is looking for an Flights & Operations Executive to join their business to assist the Operations Managers in the co-ordination and scheduling of all operational matters.

Flights & Operations Executive Executive - Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safe, practical and ethical operational polices
  • Prepare all confirmation and departure documents checking flights booked and supplier details
  • Manage day to day administration for all brands by monitoring daily task lists
  • Monitor Operations and Flights inboxes supporting all sales staff
  • Prepare all group documentation including tour leader packs and passenger manifests
  • Liaise with suppliers for any necessary final documentation
  • Booking all flights using Amadeus and various websites for all brands including group bookings
  • Issuing air tickets
  • Monitoring Amadeus queues and advising clients, brand and product managers of any schedule changes or amendments that require action
  • Quoting airfares and advising of ticket rules and baggage allowances for all brands
  • Making tour leader flight reservations
  • Prepare payment reminder report for all brands and send client reminder emails
  • Visa administration for group tours that require invitation letters
  • Monitoring advice from the FCO and updating practical travel advice
  • Assist if required during a crisis. Please be aware this could be outside of normal working hours

Flights & Operations Executive - Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of an operational administration role
  • GDS experience ( Amadeus)
  • A passion for travelling abroad
  • Computer literate with Word, Excel & Databases (eg Access)
  • Planning and prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
  • Proven experience of working in the travel industry
  • Good destination knowledge (including airlines, airports, visa and health requirements)
  • Able to thrive on deadlines, no matter how tight with a "can do" attitude
  • To be able to maintain exceptional attention to detail at all times
  • To help however required, to ensure the company succeeds
  • To participate and become a team player in everything the company does
  • Represent the company to the highest standard overseas and in the UK
  • Actively participate in everything that the company needs to do to succeed
