Fleet Technician / Valeter
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet support technician / Valeter to help support our Car Club operation in Cumbria & Lake District - Experience preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role and has a great eye for detail to ensure our cars are kept both clean and safe for our members.
Our fleet support team are a key part of our car club operation, ensuring our cars are maintained to the highest standard, allowing us to provide the best service possible to our members.
This role involves working independently therefore you will need to have the ability to be self motivated and organised, as well as keeping in good communication with the fleet manager to assure your assigned vehicles are maintained.
Each week you will be assigned a daily schedule of vehicles that you will be responsible for cleaning and safety checking. You will keep records up to date by entering check sheet data on to our fleet software after each clean and check using the smart phone provided.
You will be on hand to respond to minor issues such as flat batteries, collecting vehicles from garages following services / Insurance repairs and completing minor repairs such and wing mirror replacement - Training provided
Occasionally you will be required to relocate a vehicle outside of your core area, which may involve an overnight stay - Hotel provided, and expenses covered during this time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering, Cumbria, Carlisle & Lake District
To apply for this position, you must hold a valid driving licence, held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
Working hours & Pay
As a full time employee, you will be contracted to 37.5hrs per week, however working hours are flexible depending on the daily/ weekly requirements of the role. You will work with the Fleet manager to co-ordinate activities
