As a Maintenance Fitter you will report to our Workshop Foreman as part of a team of four. You'll primarily be involved in fixed plant maintenance - planned and reactive, including welding, gas cutting and fabrication. Working on processing plant such as crushers, screens and conveyor belts, you’ll be involved in PPM covering routine tasks but will also deal with breakdown situations to from time-to-time. The workshop team, of which you are a part, are involved in reviews of plant operating efficiency and subsequent modifications or alterations as appropriate. Much of our mobile plant is serviced by third party contractors.

An experienced fitter, skilled in welding, cutting and fabricating techniques, ideally with a technical qualification, together with excellent communication and team-working skills, although you’ll also need to be able to work individually exercising reasoned initiative. With a sound understanding of the importance of safe working and the willingness to be actively involved in the risk assessment process, you’re able to follow clearly laid out safety rules.
You must also be willing to:
• proactively contribute to maintaining and improving site performance
• be flexible towards working hours to suit production and maintenance needs
• participate in training and development for our mutual benefit.

With a salary based on 48 hours per week, you’ll be entitled to 25 days holiday per year. Typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, on a 2 week rota: ie week 1 0700 to 1700hrs, week 2 1100 to 2200hrs. With occasional additional overtime to suit business needs.
