Fire Safety Adviser
This individual will have direct access to, and influence on decision-making by Senior Management, through the Fire Safety Manager. For example assisting with preparation and presentation of fire safety compliance reports that will be discussed with, and have significant influence on, establishment and implementation of strategic fire safety management priorities in particular;
· Chief Governance Officer
· Director of Estates and Facilities
Prepare Fire Safety Risk Assessments for all university buildings and facilities and will disseminate the findings of these assessments with the appropriate Responsible Persons Will have the power to require immediate cessation of work when s/he considers that dangerous circumstances prevail. Will have the power to independently liaise with those listed below in matters concerning university compliance with all aspects of fire safety regulations.
Experience and Qualifications required;
Institute of Fire Engineers registration or equivalent – Essential
NEBOSH General / Fire Certificate – Essential
