Finishing Foreman High Rise Residential
About the Role
A major tier one contractor requires a Finishing Foreman to strengthen its management team on a high rise residential project in Leeds.
To assist the site team in the management of projects to completion; reporting to the Block / Section Manager.
To assist in the successful and timely completion of projects by applying the quality, health, safety, environmental, sustainability procedures of the business, whilst maintaining and improving client relationships and working with the team to achieve financial success of the project.
Ensuring safe working conditions
Ensuring timely delivery of materials to avoid delay to the project and ensure they are stored safely and tidily.
Continuously monitor trades and labour under your control to ensure all health and safety requirements are met and that site cleanliness is maintained;
Where labour resources on site do not match programmed/planned labour requirements bring this to the attention of Block / Section Manager;
Monitor and record progress of the works (complete diary, allocation sheets and QA sheets) and assist in preparation of short term programmes;
To direct any instruction from the Clients Representative to the Block / Section Manager before taking action;
Supervising, monitoring and recording to ensure project compliance with the Specification and the Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Company Policies by all persons on site;
Take responsibility for ensuring safe use and correct utilisation of any items used by site operatives;
To be aware of business continuity processes via Line Manager;
To carry out safety inspections and deliver Site Inductions;
To carry out Toolbox Talks and Daily Safety / Method Briefings where appropriate;
To undertake routine supervision of all of our subcontractors and direct labour;
Trade / joinery / dry-lining background
CITB Level 2 Safety Course SSSTS;
Appropriate CSCS card;
First Aid at Work (4 day) (Desirable);
Behavioural safety training (Desirable);
Fire Safety and COSHH Co-ordinator (Desirable);
Scaffold safety awareness (Desirable);
Held a similar position with a Main Contractor for a sustained period;
Experience of working within the high rise residential sector (Desirable);
A background of working on site in relevant trades or supervisory positions sufficient to give an in depth understanding of work stream processes which the individual is responsible for supervising (e.g. fit out, second fix joinery, residential);
Experience and ability to manage and direct other staff (subcontractor foreman, Graduate engineers) and labour;
Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team;
Good decision maker;
