Salary range: £17,000 - £18500 p/a + £500 flexible allowance + a typical annual bonus of 7%

Shifts: Between 8:00am - 9:00pm Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 7:00pm Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Saturday, 10:00am - 3:00pm Sunday

Empathy, curiosity and a warm personality are just a few of the characteristics you’ll need to become a great Customer Service Advisor. People get into financial difficulty for all sorts of reasons. And, it will be your role to talk to customer’s, over the phone, and gain an understanding of each individual circumstance. By closely listening, perhaps gaining some common ground and asking questions, you’ll then decide the best repayment plan possible, both for the customer and for the client.
Every customer, every call and every situation will be different. But they’ll each need lots of compassion and understanding. For you to treat them the way you would want to be treated and care about finding the best solution. Far more than a typical contact centre role, you’ll need expert communication skills, a real interest in people and enjoy making a positive difference to the lives of those struggling with debt.
It’s not an easy job. Conversations won’t always be simple to resolve. There’ll be systems and processes to learn and targets to hit. But following a 9 week training course and fully supported first 6 months, you’ll have learnt from any feedback, built your resilience and be ready to go it alone. You’ll understand our highly regulated environment and all the rules and strict ways of working that, as a bank, we have to adhere to.
