Cooper Lomaz have an immediate requirement for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a highly respected Peterborough based business on an initial 9 month fixed term contract. The organisation has experienced an exciting period of growth in the last 12 months and the reporting team play a crucial role in producing financial reports to support wider projects and growth opportunities. Within the role the successful candidate will take responsibility for producing group and subsidiary statutory accounts under IFRS whilst also supporting the maintenance of group controls. It is expected that the successful candidate will also support the preparation and delivery of the year end accounts as well as any projects that arise within the business.
Key responsibilities within the role will include:
- Preparation of group and subsidiary statutory accounts
- Play a key role in the year end close and annual accounts submissions, working closely with auditors
- Maintain the balance sheet and journal controls as well as the risk register when required
- Support the production of monthly management reports on business performance and cash flow
- Ad hoc project support when required
The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and will be available to interview and commence work at relatively short notice. Candidates will need to demonstrate a working knowledge of IFRS reporting gained within either a Financial Accounting or Management Accounts environment. Prior experience of Group consolidation would be highly desirable combined with experience of playing a key role in the finalising of year end accounts. Any experience of financial controls or risk is also desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills are also key given the Group facing nature of the position.
