Our client, an established asset management firm with a presence across the UK and an outstanding reputation for their discretionary portfolio management proposition, is currently looking to recruit an experienced individual to advise and develop relationships with existing clients in Cheshire.
The incumbent will inherit a client portfolio of high value individuals who are typically approaching retirement with investment sizes between £100,000 and £200,000, although a number of cases are much higher (up to c£500,000). In addition to servicing existing clients, consultants are also expected to possess a strong commercial focus and identify new business when opportunities arise. The support on offer is first class, with a dedicated technical support function including diploma qualified paraplanners in place at the regional office.
Successful applicants will have a good understanding of investment management, tax mitigation (e.g. IHT planning, trust work etc) pensions and protection planning along with a demonstrable track record of performance against target. In addition, current FCA authorisation for regulated financial planning is essential alongside a Level 4 qualification and Statement of Professional Standing.
The role offers an attractive salary up to £50,000 plus a company car and excellent benefits. There is also and a generous bonus available with advisers targeted on both client retention and new business. Earnings at the firm average in excess of £70,000 with top consultants earning considerably more.
