Realcare+ Limited is a home care and nursing care agency registered with the Care Quality Commission to supply registered nurses and carers to all health and social care settings in and around Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. The management team works as a family supporting each other in supplying continuous support to clients and carers.

We are urgently looking for a Finance Officer to join our team, this is a Part-Time on permanent position, 24hrs to be spread across 4days.

Person Specification

Idealy, the post holder must have or be studying towards a formal accounting qualification, but qualification by experience is also acceptable. You will have good numeracy and problem-solving ability and be able to work to procedures and guidelines. A clear and diplomatic communicator and be able to organise and prioritise your workload, working flexibly as required. With sound data processing skills you will have experience of using computerised accounts systems and Microsoft excel

Core Duties

Book Keeping

  • Inputting data into SAGE
  • Reconcile all bank accounts
  • Staff Pay Roll process (timesheet analysis to Payslip)
  • Real-time PAYE and NI Submission
  • Credit Control and Monthly Statement to clients
  • Pension
  • Company year end Returns
  • Petty Cash

Invoice Management

  • Self billing of clients invoices
  • Processing and sending of invoices
  • File all sales and purchase invoices


  • Ensure VAT is correctly analysed in SAGE
  • Preparation of VAT return and payment of VAT


  • Dealing staff pay queries
  • Supervision and maintenance of all bank mandates
  • Attending team meetings

Additional Responsibilities

Any other duties as reasonably requested by the director and finance Officer

Preparing accounts for audit and working with the auditing accountants

Holiday covers

Other office and financial administration, e.g Filing of invoices and other financial documents


  • AAT Qualification
  • Advance Level Excel
  • Proficient in the use of SAGE, and /or Quickbooks

Salary: £22,425 - £25,350 p.a, pro rota

Starting date

This vacancy is planned to be filled in between November and December 2017 as some training and handover will be required during the initial period of employment.
