Concern Group is one of the largest non- statutory providers of mental health services in England. The Group is comprised of Mental Health Concern, Insight Healthcare and various projects and partnerships that are focussed around the Mission of improving the mental health and wellbeing of those they serve.
The Group has a strong presence in the North of England and has developed a range of services nationwide. They are primarily commissioned by the NHS and local authorities providing innovative, specialist mental health, primary care and well-being services.
Concern Group are now seeking a Finance Director Designate to help the Group achieve its strategic objectives and provide support through an exciting time of change and development.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, as a key member of our management team, you will lead all aspects of finance services, develop and implement financial strategy, and assist the Chief Executive with governance, performance management and wider corporate issues.
Candidates will be qualified and commercially-rounded Finance Professionals, either already operating at Finance Director level or ambitious Controllers/Managers seeking their first Board appointment.
You will have a strong professional background in financial management and will have the capability of acquiring an appreciation of the regulatory and compliance context under which the organisation operates.
You will have excellent management skills with a focus on business performance, the ability to think and plan strategically whilst also providing hands on support to your team. Highly credible and exhibiting good judgement you will work with honesty and integrity at all times, understand the need to work with others to ensure the continued financial sustainability of the Group.
You will be able to lead teams through change, be motivated to complete projects and be able to review and implement processes and controls.
You will work collaboratively across the organisation, have a positive attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
