An outstanding opportunity has ariven for a Financial Controller with a leading construction/manufacturing business based in Sandwich, Kent.

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Financial Controller with oversee all aspects of financial control, reporting and forecasting for this division. Including leading the divisional finance team, and business partnering the local management team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support and challenge to the commercial teams around strategy & financial reporting implications for all new business tenders
  • Work with Group Finance to drive best practice
  • Support the local management team in implementing and maintaining medium term targets, including ownership of the Divisional 3 year forecast, budget and relevant KPIs
  • Oversee the financial and management reporting process for the Division
  • Oversee the review, strengthening and harmonisation of financial reporting and control processes across the Division.
  • Take a leading role to enhance and develop policies, processes and systems.
  • Act as a key Business Partner to senior stakeholders within the Division
  • Present updates at the Monthly Business Reviews and other meetings as the central finance representative

Applicant Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant proficiency in financial accounting & reporting, including audit and the ability to understand, manage and interpret budgetary and other financial information.
  • Strong MS Excel Skills
  • Personable, comfortable managing small team
  • Comfortable being office based
