Financial Controller
Location: Wirral
Salary: c. £85,000 + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join an instantly recognisable Merseyside brand. This is a pivotal role within the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director and offering significant career progression opportunities.
About the Role:
You'll need to be a hands-on leader - able to rebuild and develop the finance team. You will oversee the continued implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring best practices, process improvements, and compliance across all financial functions.
Key Responsibilities include:-
- Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, tax efficiency, and process improvements.
- Lead and develop a finance team of 10-12 people.
- Support the completion of ERP system implementation.
- Drive financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen financial controls.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong technical finance background with a track record of leadership.
- Experience in the Project or Contracting sector is highly desirable.
- Proven team management skills, with experience leading finance teams.
- Ability to improve processes and implement best practices across the finance function.
