The Role:

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial management across several entities and sites, ensuring robust accounting practices are maintained.

• Team Management: Leading and developing a small finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Accounts Oversight: Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting across multiple sites.
• Process Improvement: Setting out and standardising financial processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Board Engagement: Collaborating with other board members, providing insights and assertive financial guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a candidate who thrives in an operational setting and possesses the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager in a similar role within an operational industry (manufacturing, logistics, waste, plant hire).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Exceptional financial acumen, with a focus on process optimisation and performance improvement.
• Confident and assertive personality, capable of navigating challenging discussions with senior stakeholders.
