Casanovas Recruitment Solutions have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join expanding and dynamic company as a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and fast-paced niche SaaS based company in West Suffolk and operating internationally. This position of Financial Controller is a full time, permanent position and offers a working hybrid model with 2 days office based per week. This is a new role for the company and will involve the day to management of a small established finance team and reporting directly to the CFO. We are seeking applications from experienced finance professionals with previous experience of working within a SaaS business.

Job Purpose:

  • Provide strategy and direction with direction from the CFO.
  • Managing all ?nance and accounting operations.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and ?nancial forecasts and report variances.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly ?nancial statements.

Duties:

  • Collaborating with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s ledger
  • Ensuring that the organisation meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing requirements
  • Overseeing all ?nancial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
  • Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive ?nancial information to guide effective policy making and ?nancialstrategizing
  • Summarising budget trends, analysing de?ciencies and reporting variances to executives
  • Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
  • Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation

Skills/qualifications:

  • A practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques
  • Experience of scaling organisation in SaaS ideally
  • Solid experience of standard accountancy and ?nance best practices
  • Solid IT skills, including proficiency in the relevant accounting packages
  • Quali?ed to ACCA or CIMA with a strong understanding of tax codes and laws
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively analyse ?nancial reports
  • Lived experience of change management within an organization
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of budgeting and ?nancial forecasting
