Our Client

Our client is an award-winning national organisation based in Stretford, who take immense pride in their integrity and their client-centred approach to business. Due to expansion, they are seeking to invest in an experienced Financial Controller to join their diverse team who have a range of backgrounds and professional qualifications.

About you

As a senior member of this dynamic and progressive team you should feel confident in leading change. You will have experience of senior financial management and be seeking to progress rapidly beyond the role of Financial Controller to board level. As a qualified Accountant, preferably with experience in an SME, you will be adaptable and have a knack for identifying areas requiring improvement. The ability to develop systems, processes and people is a key requirement, as is decision making and being able to communicate these decisions to others internally and outside of the business. A results-driven work ethic and strong IT skills are also essential attributes.

The role

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing credit control, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and taxation and compliance matters
  • Developing forecasting
  • Contributing to meetings at board level
  • Motivating and managing the team
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Preparing VAT returns and managing accounts
