Strand Recruitment are partnering with a growing SME based in West Leeds, they are looking to recruit a switched on, commercially adept and technically strong Financial Controller to head up their finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this position offers genuine scope to progress and the opportunity to reinvigorate the reporting process / management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the finance team
  • Preparing the monthly management accounts and Board MI packs
  • Work with the FC on Budgeting and forecasting
  • Statutory reporting and audit
  • Work with Analytics & Data team to develop a suite of standard reports and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Providing and interpreting financial information.
  • Prepare presentations for the board and the Directors
  • Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Manage the month end table
  • Supervise and oversee the monthly payroll
  • Risk and compliance
  • Reporting and analysis to aid the strategic decision-making process
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly industry returns

Requirements:

  • Fully ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Has previous experience within the SME / financial services sector
  • Be hands on
  • Have a growth mindset
  • 2/3 years solid experience as a Financial Controller
  • Is a proactive self-starter
