I am delighted to be working exclusively with a Sheffield city centre based business as they looking to appoint a dynamic, commercial minded Financial Controller. Due to continued success in the market and a fantastic brand reputation within the industry, my client is seeking an ambitious and driven finance leader to support them in their next phase of growth.

This position is a number one Finance role working closely with and reporting directly into the Managing Director. You will oversee the day to day running of the finance function whilst seeking ways to gain greater efficiencies and reporting potential from the new bespoke computer system.

Following a number of years of growth, the business is looking to set out clear commercial goals to consolidate our position and to contribute to the continued growth of the business. The role will therefore also include responsibility to improve efficiencies and productivity across a number of areas in the business (both directly related to the finance function and in other parts of the company).

This role would be best suited to an ambitious and confident qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who is looking to take the next step in their career and take on a challenging Financial Controller position. The opportunity will provide the incumbent with an excellent platform from which to add real commercial value to this company and be key in its future growth.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

1.Full production of monthly management and year end statutory accounts
2.Overseeing and management of a small team responsible for all financial transactions and treasury
3.Full Financial and Reporting Controls
4.Setting up production and presentation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
5.Cash Flow Set up and forecasting
6.Variance analysis
7.Liaising with Senior Managers across the business
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified
* Ability to analyse and develop IT systems. (Experience of using ERP system would be preferable)
* Proven experience of working cross-functionally and interacting with staff at all levels.
