Financial Controller

The One Group have been exclusively engaged to recruit a financial controller for our fenland client. The financial controller will play an active part in the senior management team and will have responsibility for all financial aspects of the business and contribute to the strategic direction.
Operating in the SME sector, the role is wide and varied and offers a real insight into all areas of the business. It is highly likely the financial controller role will grow into a full finance director position over the coming years, with the potential for an equity stake.

Key duties include:
-To prepare detailed monthly management accounts to local management.
-To provide analysis and management information to support business decisions.
-To develop the costing and other financial systems in line with busines requirements.
-To provide direction to the development of other systems for production, warehousing and other departments.
-To manage the working capital budgets of the company.
-To coordinate and manage the preparation of the annual financial budgets and quarterly forecasts.
-To analyse projects (pre & post calculation)
-To manage the preparation of year end statutory accounts
-To manage the company's VAT, corporation tax and cash
-To periodically liaise with bankers & external auditors

Suitable applicants will ideally hold an CIMA /ACA/ACCAaccountancy qualification but consideration will be given to Qualified By Expereince applicants with relevant experience.
Ideally have experience in an FMCG/manufacturing/produce environment. The position will have a strong mentor and the client will support personal development for an ambitious individual not able to complete all technical elements of the job specification.
