Redwood Bank launched in August 2017, with a view to offering a real alternative for small and medium sized organisations.
As a small, but passionate start-up bank, we offer a distinctively positive workplace, achieved through selectively recruiting people who share the same values as us and think and act collaboratively. We have a positive impact on our customers through ensuring the alignment and engagement of our people.
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished, well rounded and hands-on Financial Controller to join our growing Finance team based in Letchworth. This will be a broad and dynamic role within a small team, reporting directly to the CFO. The main focus of this role is to develop the financial strategy of the Bank, bringing market knowledge and insight to drive value creation.
Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial policies, controls, systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Bank's finances and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Bank's finance department.
Strong senior stakeholder management is critical. This role will act as a key financial contact and will involve working across business lines and actively consulting with members of the Leadership Team.
This key role will require gravitas, diligence and attention to detail and is an ideal role for an experienced candidate with a passion for what they do. The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard; possess a recognised professional accountancy qualification; and have at least five years experience at senior management level, preferably within financial services.
The role demands a self-motivated team player with a hands-on approach and the ability to deliver to tight reporting deadlines. You should possess strong organisational skills; a 'can do' attitude towards every aspect of the job and proven ability to liaise and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. The more prominent areas of exposure will necessitate excellent team management, a proven ability to perform tasks under pressure, exceptional decision making and flexibility to get the job done.
If you're looking for a career where you will be respected as an individual and valued for the contributions you make, then it is time to join Redwood Bank.
