What do you need to know about the company and our Finance Team?
We make amazing award-winning beers and spirits from our home in Southwold, have some great shops across the region and operate some stunning pubs and hotels. Our Company values drive all we do and we act for the long-term, managing to successfully combine the innovative with the time-honoured.
This role will sit within the senior management team and will oversee our lovely hard working established finance team whilst remaining fairly hands on.
What do we want?
We are looking for a Financial Controller to be based in our Southwold Offices. This would be a great move for anyone with previous experience providing leadership to the finance function including growth and development plans.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Managing the day to day financials of the business
- Working with senior stakeholders to provide information and analysis
- Preparing management and statutory accounts including corporation tax, overseeing financial information for the charity and administration of the Share Incentive Plan
- Cash flow forecasting and cash management
- Helping to improve our business processes
- Managing our finance team including functions such as credit control, sales ledger, purchase ledger and general ledger
- Liaising with auditors
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and ambitious who can lead the finance function and drive both the business growth and improvements of processes.
You will be responsible for every aspect of the finance function from preparing the annual budget to providing reports and advising on strategy.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a fully qualified accountant and have prior experience in a similar environment. They should also be able to demonstrate previous leadership experience, have a strong technical and commercial background along with being able to build rapport across all levels.
