The Company

A new opportunity has arisen to join a successful Global IT organisation. It is an exciting time to join the company during this period of growth, as progression opportunities will be available in the future. The company is an IT Asset Management firm with offices in the UK, USA, and Australia.

The Role

In your new role as Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing all of the company accounts and investments. You will drive commercial reporting as well as complying with government regulations and legislations. Cash flow management will be an important part of your role, as will development of budgets and financial plans. Within the finance team you will manage 2 key members and help implement new processes and change to work in an efficient manner. This role is very hands on and you will be required to set an example for your team.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate must have worked in a hands on Financial Controller position previously, ideally in an IT or technology organisation. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be an essential component of your application.

Key Responsibilities will include:

*Overseeing all company accounts and investments
*Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
*Managing cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
*Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
*Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
*Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
*Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
*Developing budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
*Reviewing all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
*Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
*Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
The Skills Required
*You will be a bright individual, motivated to learn new things with a desire to succeed
*Part or full ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified or Equivalent
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills
*Similar experience in relevant field
