Financial Assistant/Administrator(Flexible hours: 27.5 ~ 37.5 hrs per week)

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Completing double entry bookkeeping on SAGE
  • Preparing customer invoices and ensuring payment
  • Checking and paying supplier invoices
  • Checking and reconciling bank statements
  • Business Credit Cards, staff expenses accounts and petty cash reconciliation
  • Undertaking BACS and DD runs
  • Undertaking all bookkeeping entries to enable completion of monthly management accounts
  • Filing of all relevant financial records
  • Monthly training report and orgainising training course for all staff
  • Credit Control
  • Any Ad-Hoc duties

Knowledge & Skills/Experience/Competencies:

  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge
  • Experience of working in SAGE preferable, but not essential
  • Supplier payment management
  • Customer payment management
  • Basic knowledge of VAT returns
  • Trial balance
  • Accurate and timely data entry
  • Intermediate PC skills, benefiting from experience in Microsoft Office products
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
