Hourly pay rate £10.00Ltd an hour (Umbrella Company)
To assist with the effective operation of the Financial Assessment Teams, supporting the Assessment and Benefit Officers. Responsibilities will include co-ordinating referrals, route and booking of visits, collating information, providing advice to service users or their representatives and general office duties to include telephone enquiries. The teams work in partnership with the Local Pensions Services and District Councils and support will be extended to these teams as and when required.
oTo have responsibility for collating and allocating referrals for financial assessment of care, routing and booking visits, identifying and issuing postal referrals, giving priority to those discharged from hospital.
oTo have an up to date knowledge of relevant Community Care Legislation, state benefits, advocacy services and to provide information and advice on the financial aspects of charging for care services to service users and/or their relatives/agents. This will include advice on Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection and providing guidance when service users are unable or unwilling to act for themselves.
oKeep database updated, to monitor progress of all referrals, issue reminders as appropriate, ensure that deadlines are met and keep the Senior Assessment Officer informed of any undue delays, issues, problems. In the case of hospital discharge cases, monitor the progress of the referrals and keep all relevant personnel updated with progress.
oTo carry out checks on relevant computer systems to ensure that all information is accurate, details of current benefit entitlement is recorded, and safety issues are identified.
