Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with
  • relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial
  • accounts.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of internal controls.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare tax returns and support regulatory reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to management as required.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and systems.

Finance Transformation Projects:

  • Represent the Financial Accounting function in key growth and transformation projects.

Inventory Reporting Project:
  • Partner with finance and operational teams to analyse current inventory processes and identify improvements.

  • Develop and enhance inventory reporting systems, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Long-Term Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the month-end close for assigned areas, ensuring technical accuracy.

  • Influence and shape the future responsibilities of the role as the finance team continues to evolve.

About You

We're looking for a qualified accountant who is ready to make a significant impact:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Practice trained ACA or ACCA qualified, looking for first move second move into industry, ideally with accounts preparation and audit experience.

  • Exposure to inventory accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Proven track record of process improvement and automation.

Skills:

  • Analytical and solutions-focused mindset.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Strong Excel capability; Power BI and D365 experience highly advantageous.
