Financial Accountant Part Qualified

Our client is a fast paced business in a niche industry.

They are currently recruiting for a part qualified accountant to join their project accounting team in a varied role.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and wants the opportunity to grow and develop in a go-getting team.

It would suit a candidate who is part or newly qualified and who understands how accounts work, perhaps having worked in the profession.

Duties will include;

Production of monthly management accounts and board pack
Management of cash flow
Assisting with the yearly audit and statutory accounts production
Maintenance of the fixed asset register and monthly repairs and maintenance review
Production of the annual tax packs
Monthly VAT analysis and quarterly returns
Profit share calculations
Assisting with the yearly budget process
Delivering system and process improvements
Providing financial support to business projects
Undertaking project support and analysis as required

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of accounting principles and will ideally be actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA)

Experience of fixed assets and stock is ideal alongside someone who is confident in working with people at varying levels. This is a very visible role working closely with people at all levels including senior management and board level personnel.

Strong Excel skills are very important as is the ability to pick up new systems although training will be given on the accounting systems.
