Finance Supervisor (Credit Control and Sales Ledger) - Woolwich

Up to £31,336 per annum + 8% bonus after qualification period based on 40 hours per week

GLL is looking for a Finance Supervisor (Credit Control) based in our busy finance team at head office in Woolwich, South East London. GLL is the UK's largest leisure provider and we've been growing year-on-year since our inception over 20 years ago.

You will be responsible for Supervising a small team including Finance Assistants and an Administrator, you'll also provide support to the Finance Manager, and manage the organisation's debtors list, ensuring debts remain within an acceptable limit. You'll liaise with our leisure centre managers as you issue them accurate debtors list, which you would have prepared too. Ensuring all processes from contract booking to the payment of all invoices are carried out correctly and in a timely manner, you'll also supervise all credit control functions from review of contracts to debt collection. You'll need to have the ability to follow up and resolve issues as they arise.

Administration, accuracy and attention to detail will be key, but excellent customer service skills are also imperative. You'll be dealing with our customers, external bodies, other departments within the organisation and key business stakeholders, so you'll need to demonstrate knowledge, support and professionalism as you'll be representing the finance department as a whole. Passionate about what you do and thriving in a fast-paced environment, your can-do attitude and flexible approach will be an inspiration to your team. Ideally, you'll be AAT / ACCA qualified (or equivalent qualification), but if not, suitable experience of at least five years will suffice as will a broad knowledge of how finance departments operate. You'll have experience in reconciling balance sheet accounts and good knowledge of accounts systems. You'll have excellent IT and communication skills - enabling you to provide complex information and reports to the Finance Controller, Head of Business Administration and the wider team in an understandable and accessible way.
