About the Role

As a Project Manager within the Sony Global Finance and Accounting organization you will be leading the transformation project under the Global Accounting Platform project and managing the communication to key stakeholders in the Finance community.

Reporting to the Head of Change Management and Planning, you will be responsible for:

• Define Global Accounting Platform Project strategy & execution plan

• Project management

• Project definition and support to project delivery leads

• Coordination of supporting streams (e.g. IS, Process Team etc.)

• Management of risks, mitigation and escalation

• Stakeholder Communication

In detail

Project Structure:

• Create and deliver coordinated project work and executing plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

• Schedule of dates and activities to secure project get delivered as per the agreed milestones and deadlines

• Determine the resources required to complete the project

• Provide tools and structure for different project streams to deliver consistent and comparable project monitoring and reporting

Project Management and Project Coordination:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the different project activities

• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) along with the different project and delivery managers

• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

• Works with IS and business process teams to define and document questions required to deliver the project effectively and in a standardised and harmonised way

• Submits project status reports to stakeholders, manages and follows-up action plans, maintain risk register, develop and monitor mitigation actions and establish escalation matrix

Communication:

• Establish an effective communication framework

• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the different organization on the progress of the project(s) and the performance of the delivery streams of SGFA

• Liaise with business users via email, virtual tools or phone to get new requirements for communication

• Utilise existing communication tools and/or implement new communication tools

• Coordinate all project and delivery specific communication and manage external communication experts which support the communication for SGFA and GAPP

The role requires up to 30% travel

About You

You are of a graduate caliber with significant project management experience in a large, complex and corporate environment

You have proven track record of delivering projects successfully ideally - but not limited to a Finance environment

Experienced working with different cultures as part of a global team

High proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential, knowledge of enterprise solutions such as SAP beneficial

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
