Reed Accountancy are pleased to be supporting this South Birmingham organisation to recruit a Finance Officer on a permanent basis. As a Finance Officer, your main role is to keep an official track of expenditure and income from activities so when it comes to producing management accounts there is accurate reconciliation and information contained within Sage.

Daily Duties would involve

Working alongside the Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of the finance function
Monitoring & reconciling income 
Working closely with the Finance Manager to develop a system of monitoring and revenue recognition
Daily maintenance and update of a monitoring system to determine revenue recognition and WIP
Sales & Purchase ledger reconciliation and maintenance 
General ledger reconciliation and maintenance  
Asset register maintenance and reconciliation 
Bank Account reconciliation for 
Intercompany reconciliation for 
Reconciliation of the companies Factoring Account
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Dealing with Payroll figures and calculations 
Supporting Bookkeeper with ad-hoc queries and ongoing support 
Supporting Finance Manager with financial information requests 

3 years book keeping experience and part AAT qualified
Experience in Microsoft Office
Sage 50 accounting essential
This is a full-time role
