Outline of role

The company is an expanding bio energy business based between Peterborough and Wisbech and is going through some exciting changes in the next 12 months. The role is a key position within a busy finance team and will incorporate managing a small team of accounts staff providing accounting and administrative support to five operating companies. The business is undergoing significant growth and therefore will require a flexible, adaptable and committed individual.

Key responsibilities

Managing and reconciliations of all bank accounts

Cashflow reporting

Accounts payable and receivable

Processing payments

Reconciling self billing invoices

Credit control

Payroll (Sage) weekly and monthly

Pensions (Nest & Smart)

VAT compliance

Managing accruals and prepayments

Record keeping and maintenance of Sage 50

Other accounting and administrative duties as required

Support FD with preparation of management accounts, budgets and forecasts

Support FD on other projects

Experience required

Minimum of 5 years working in a finance department at a similar level

Qualified AAT or equivalent experience

Ideally available to start in May 2018

Knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage payroll

Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel
