*A Local Authority in South West London is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to join their team on a three month contract.
Purpose of the job:
*To support the Principal and Senior Finance Officers in providing support and advice to budget holders in specific areas and maintaining financial systems and processes.
Your duties will include:
*You will be assisting in the preparation of revenue and capital monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts for a specific number of service areas as allocated
*You will be providing detailed analysis of income and expenditure profiles/trends to provide projections on a sound basis
*You will be working with budget holders to help them understand their budgets and resolve any queries
*You will be assisting in the compilation and timely submission of accurate financial information, reports and returns for inclusion in management reports
*You will be operating financial processes efficiently and in accordance with relevant financial regulation
*You will be assisting with the timely collection of income including the raising of invoices in the debtors system and using information from relevant booking systems to raise invoices
*You will be undertaking reconciliations of financial information and accounts as required
