Finance Officer

We are recruiting for a Finance Officer in the Solihull area with our well established client.

As a Finance Officer you will need to have:

  • Maths and English GCSE's Grade A-C (or equivalent)
  • IT skills including Microsoft excel and redbrick systems
  • Basic understanding on finance/accounts
  • At least 1 years' experience within an admin role


  • Salary: £17,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00 (one hour for lunch)
  • Location: Solihull
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of a Finance Officer:

  • Support the processing of payments in to and out of redbrick
  • Help to check and approve transactional batches
  • Ensure deposit claims are accurate and on time
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded on the transaction batch system
  • Download bank states to ensuring reconciliation to internet bank statement and amount downloaded to the internal system
  • Action daily reports
  • Ensure all invoices and statements that are submitted comply with VAT regulations
  • Identify and test procedural and system enhancements
  • Liaise with third parties and internal support areas
  • Ensure that quality controls exist within the team and service standards are being adhered to
