Your new company is a multi-academy trust that comprises of two secondary schools with a joint sixth form of around 250 boys and girls. The school has a commitment to the very highest standards where professional development and staff well-being is crucial. The organisation is seeking a Finance officer to join their central finance team.
Your new role
In your new role you will be a supervising a small team within the central finance team and will ensure the day to day processing of financial transactions. Your main responsibilities will include purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book transactions. You will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts, balance sheet control, VAT returns, journal postings and other ad-hoc duties.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will have previous experience working within a finance environment. You will be able to work well under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. You will need intermediate level MS Excel skills in order to manipulate data to produce meaningful reports and supervisory experience would be beneficial.
What you'll get in return
This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary between £18,356 to £20,131 per annum subject to skills and experience (this is not FTE). The hours are 37 hours per week term time only, plus two weeks throughout the year. The company offers a generous benefits package which includes holiday, pension and on-site parking.
