The Finance Manager is a strategic business partner providing high-quality financial insight, advice, and challenge to directorate stakeholders, including the Deputy Managing Director and corporate functional areas. The role plays a critical part in driving performance, ensuring value for money, and supporting informed decision-making by integrating financial and operational data.

Key responsibilities include leading on business case development, savings reviews, monthly financial reporting, forecasting, budget setting, and year-end outturn reporting.

The Finance Manager also manages a team, providing leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial support across the service.

The post-holder works closely with service leads to enhance financial understanding, embed accountability for budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities for service improvement. They engage proactively with stakeholders, including attendance at Directorate Management Team (DMT) sessions, to influence and support strategic and operational decision-making.
