An excellent interim Finance Manager position has arisen at an Acute NHS Trust in the Home Counties.
You will be responsible for leading a finance section for specific clinical services and providing high level financial advice to senior management. This will provide a key input into decision making for both the finance function and the operational side of the organisation. The role covers a handful of areas including the evaluation of strategic plans, development of KPIs, business planning and working closely with the operational managers to produce three to five year plans. In addition, you are likely to be providing financial support to negotiations, key projects and around business cases. In order to provide the level of business partnering required, you will be liaising with a wide range of people both face to face and over the telephone.
The appropriate candidate should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with strong communication skills with staff at all levels, up to and including director level. You should have an extensive grounding in management accounts, but are likely to have developed this into business planning and advice. To be able to hit the ground running experience of working in a NHS provider environment will be important
