Finance Manager

Answering to the Finance Director your main duties will include:

  • Supervision of three accounts staff including purchase and sales ledgers
  • Production of periodic accounts for review by Finance Director
  • Processing of weekly & monthly payroll
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Weekly profit and loss reports
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Completion of month end procedures
  • Analysing nominal codes including highlighting and investigating variances to budget
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working with other team members to ensure deadlines are met
  • Reviewing debtors & creditors reports and advising actions required
  • Liaising with other departments to resolve queries

You will have had previous experience in:

  • Staff Supervision
  • Profit and Loss Accounts
  • Balance Sheets
  • Reconciliations
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Maintaining the fixed assets register
  • Management accounts
  • Payroll


  • Proficient on Excel spreadsheets including lookups, pivot tables, graphs
  • Part CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Management accounts experience
  • Payroll experience
  • Able to prioritise workload to suit demand
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
