Ethics and beliefs go hand-in-hand with performance and success at Jacksons Law Firm.
Since 1876, we’ve worked hard to build a stellar reputation for providing best-practice legal advice to our business and personal clients - and this progressive approach drives us a team as well as an organisation.
It’s seen us become the first firm in Teesside to move to an Alternative Business Structure, the first to appoint a non-legal Partner; and helped us cement our position as one of the UK’s top Legal 500 firms, founded on an inclusive, highly-engaged and family-friendly working culture.
We’re proud of our people, our work, our clients, our charities and our community. And this is your opportunity to progress your own career in an environment without any glass ceilings, leading a five-strong finance function in a 'Number One’ role that reports directly to the Partners.
The major part of your role?
Overseeing Management Accounts, Budgeting & Forecasting, Cashflow & Credit Control, Payroll & Pensions, Audit and Reconciliation - as well as installing a new accounts package, managing day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with solicitors accounting rules (we offer full training if that’s needed) and representing your team and function at Partner meetings.
The difference working here rather than anywhere else?
It’s the place for people who share our values, believe in our brand - and want to enjoy a future where you can progress to Partner-level, building on your post-qualification experience (though we’re very happy to talk with a non-qualified Accountant if you have the right qualities).
If you have that ambition and philosophy, with strong team leading and strategic planning skills, find out more about our firm, the role, the wide range of benefits - and a flexible approach that may even see us consider part-time working for the right candidate.
