Based on the outskirts of Wigan this manufacturing, distribution and import Client are expanding both as a business and through number of employees. The business have recently opened a further two divisions to the already established business, solidifying their capacity to deliver a quality product and service option to an established customer base over varying capacities. Part of a wider group based abroad, the Managing Director is seeking his number one in Finance to strengthen a focussed senior management team.
Your new role
As Financial Controller you shall take ownership over the finance department. Number one on site you shall seek to enhance process and procedure to provide strong financial reporting to the senior management team. A hands-on role you shall be responsible for the accounting operations of the company and will undertake all aspects of financial management, including business accounting, cash management, regulatory and monthly financial reporting and complete budget and forecast preparation. You shall develop internal control policies and procedures and seek to enhance the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records. As Financial Controller you shall provide a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with accounting principles and standards. A key member of the management team you shall have further responsibilities which will also include financial risk management, stock control, company IT systems, HR and Health & Safety. A varied and diverse role you shall be provided with the opportunity and exposure across varied functions and business partner with senior leaders who are focused to grow the business further.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
An established finance lead you shall be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with experience in a similar role. Qualified by experience shall also be considered. Hands-on in your approach you shall be committed to manage your own time and have the ability to work with a number of varied personalities as a solid business partner. You shall have proven experience from working in a small to medium sized company and have experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience from working within a company with a small production facility would be a benefit. You shall also have strong IT skills and experience of being involved with IT and ERP systems remains a clear advantage. You shall also be able to demonstrate experience in stock control. Previous experience of company HR and Health & Safety would be an advantage
