Finance Manager

Applicants are invited to apply for the Finance Manager vacancy based at the Port of Great Yarmouth.

Role Purpose: To provide financial support to the business, aiding the implementation of a varying change projects, assisting with developing investments, whilst ensuring profitability of current operations.

This role will include the following responsibilities:

-Support the Senior Finance Manager, Port Director and local Managers in driving the performance of the division

-Provide strategic analysis of the financials in order to assist decision making

-Manage and drive cashflow within the business

-Produce divisional forecast and budgets, with clear visibility of their makeup

-Manage and control divisional risks and opportunities

-Review and analyse capital expenditure proposals to ensure financial integrity and consistency

-Investigate and control business improvement projects

-Track performance against business plan, budget and forecast

-Aid the local evaluation of commercial opportunities

-Facilitate central management requests for information on financial performance and impact/suggested parameters of new deals

-Perform and advise upon negotiations with current and potential customers

-Communicate financial information to the local management team in a manner that is effective and easily understood

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

-Must be a qualified Accountant with post qualification experience, ideally gained within Manufacturing or Logistics industries

-Confident and professional, with the ability to represent the Group with third parties, customers, suppliers, interacting with all levels of the organisation

-Excellent IT skills, must be proficient in using all Microsoft packages and financial management systems

Process driven, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, competent with working independently as well as being results driven

-Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse information and present it in a meaningful way, ensuring it is understood by all

-A team player, with an ability to communicate financial matters clearly and confidently to varying stakeholders
