Jenson Fisher Consulting have been retained by an established leisure organisation to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent, full time basis.
Created as a holiday ownership village in the 1980's, our client now operates as a secluded holiday village in Argyll near Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. One of the most successful holiday ownership and self catering operations in Scotland, this complex includes luxury holiday cottages, a restaurant, excellent on-site leisure facilities including heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, beauty rooms as well as welll kept gardens and grounds for all to enjoy.
Finance Manager Role
Based on site and reporting into the Committee, the Finance Manager forms a key part of the on-site Senior Management Team. This is a varied role which will incorporate a mix of management accounting, business support and commercial activities. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that key reporting deadlines are met whilst also demonstrating a strong knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will work using their own autonomy and will be disciplined in their approach. On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include;
- Production of monthly management accounts.
- Production of annual financial statements.
- Preparation of budgets.
- Preparing payroll using Sage Payroll.
- Management of Credit Control and Aged Debt.
- Prepare written reports on financial performance for committee meetings.
- Reconciliation of rental and booking incomes.
- Implement new processes and procedures geared towards improving efficiencies.
The Finance Manager role is aimed at either a professionally Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or someone who considers themselves Qualified by Experience. It is essential that the successful candidate must be assertive in their approach and confident with their decision making.
