This award-winning group, the UK’s foremost manufacturer of cast stone architectural dressings, garden ornaments and building materials for restoration and landscaping, is offering a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager / Management Accountant with a background in manufacturing, to join the dynamic team, with a view to taking over the Accounts Manager position within approximately six months.

SALARY: Circa £30,000 to £34,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits including: excellent pension scheme, 4 rising to 5 weeks annual leave (plus stats).
LOCATION: Based at the company’s head office in the picturesque village of East Haddon, Northamptonshire, you should currently live within easy daily commuting distance by car, and may currently be living, or looking for work in the Northampton, Rugby, Kettering, or Daventry areas.
Initially working alongside the existing Accounts Manager, you will be taking over the management of the accounting and administration functions, managing the day-to-day activities of a busy head office accounts team and overseeing the general administration involved in operating the business.
A broad overview of your duties and responsibilities includes:
* The preparation of monthly management accounts to deadlines.
* Management of a small team of accounts and administration staff.
* Liaising and assisting accounts staff at other group locations.
* Preparation of staff salaries on a monthly basis.
* Monitoring the Company bank accounts and arranging payments to suppliers, etc.
* Preparation/submission of VAT returns.
* Preparation/submission of PAYE/NI.
* Reconciling ledgers.
* Investigating stock variances.
You should be a qualified / part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA), experienced, and technically strong Finance Manager with a background in manufacturing, able to ensure robust controls and operations are maintained, while acting as a key support to the Finance Director.
You will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and peers, excellent knowledge and understanding of Finance systems, and above all, a genuine commitment and passion for growing and nurturing this highly respected and successful brand.
