Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for day-to-day finance operations including ensuring the accuracy of data used in the production of monthly and annual accounts, and to facilitate senior management decision making. The Finance Manager manages a small team taking responsibility for the payables function and the processing of company financial transactions and is expected to ensure that the Group's finance systems operate to a good financial standard, consistent with requirements, policies and procedures. The Finance Manager plays a central part in the Finance function, with responsibility for critical areas of accounting - cost of goods, inventory management, manufacturing and related project accounting. As a finance team member responsible for new operational initiatives, you will be accountable for delivery of certain key finance projects and objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with understanding of financial reporting and processes in a complex business environment. You will have experience of managing a small team and good knowledge of ERP systems (IFS beneficial) and control environments, processes and transactions to be able to respond to business needs from a finance and processing perspective. A solid understanding of accounting standards as well an understanding of project management is required. You will be able to demonstrate a good general understanding of business operations, processes and technical applications.
