Finance Manager

Optima Professional Services is currently recruiting exclusively for a Finance Manager to join a SME business based on the outskirts of Leicester. This role is probably one of the best roles available in the moment in the market due to the diversity of the role and the commercial exposure. The business has a turnover of circa 20 million pounds and has experienced growth every year for the last 7 years, in the last 12 months they have grown by 30%. They are profitable and an innovator within their industry and set the market - they are commercial and on an interesting and exciting journey as a business. Due to the firms location they are commutable from all areas of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Warwickshire.

Reporting to the Financial Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and the financial information that goes out to the business. You will own all these processes and communications and will able to use your accounting flair and commercial skills to make a real difference to the business. The most interesting part of this role and that you will also be business partnering none finance staff with new products and innovations, advising also on existing products. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wants to be a able to make a real difference to a business and be able to see the positive impact that you will have. The split between accounting and analysis is 40/60.

This is a brand new role to the business and is will be seen as a key member of the management team.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have management accounting experience and be able to produce a full set of management accounts and an accompanying board pack, presenting this to the leadership team of the business. You will have excellent analysis skills and have a commercial approach to your work. As the business grows and develops, no two days will be the same - if you are looking a standard routine role this is probably not the role for you. It would be beneficial to be at finalist stage or recently qualified in either CIMA or ACCA. QBE candidates with manufacturing and business analysis experience will be considered.

Ideally you will be looking for a long term role with a business that is growing and changing on a month by month basis as the role will change and develop as the business grows.

The role has a salary of between £35,000 and £40,000 plus benefits.
