Finance Manager

A Manufacturing company based in Burton-Upon-Trent are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager, this position is available on a permanent basis and ideally suits someone who has had exposure to team management.

Managing a team of 3, this role will require applicants to have good attention to detail and strong excel skills including V-lookups and pivots as the successful applicants will be responsible for analysis and scrutiny of the Profit and Loss report. Knowledge and experience of assisting with month end is essential, more particularly around Accruals, Journals and reconciliations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of customer contracts providing deep insight into the financials including analysis of high volume and value of data

  • Proactively reduce future currency risks through hedging activities Develop new tools to improve financial visibility Ensure all entries to balance sheet primes under our control stand up to scrutiny and have back up documentation/calculations

  • Responsibility for the purchasing and sales ledger inc. PO management and control of Shipments in TMS across the accounts

  • To support with month end reporting and reconciliations

  • To ensure robust financial controls are in place to control costs with the support from the FBA Supervisors

  • Support the delivery of accurate, complete and timely charging analysis to the customer as well as query resolution

  • To ensure all information is processed accurately and in a timely manner

  • To ensure full and accurate monthly spend validation

  • Support FBA Manager in day to day operation of multi-site, multi-currency, multi-platform accounting, invoicing and reporting

  • Support FBA in continuous improvement agenda within the department and ensure processes are aligned to FBA strategy Support in review and management of carrier payments, customer debt and cash allocation

  • To support the Management Team by providing financial input into Reports and Reviews

  • To support Operational Team Leaders with continuous reduction in Invoice Rejections

  • To coach Operational Team in all finance matters

This role is a permanent basis and in return the company are offering a salary of £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday, free parking and pension scheme. This position is a 37.5-hour working week.

You will be ideally part-qualified or Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT
