This profitable international Construction, Design & Engineering group, t/o £2bn, operates through several key operating divisions and specialises in the design, planning and maintenance of some of the world's most iconic buildings. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of projects, the group is currently seeking a qualified accountant to undertake a Divisional Finance Manager role. Supporting a key specialist business unit, t/o £250m+, your broad and varied brief includes:
•Assist the Finance Director with development and management of a small finance team
•Timely production of accurate relevant monthly management accounts in accordance with internal and international accounting policies
•Monitoring of the OU's results against forecasts and provide variance analysis for review
•Provide support for the 2 year rolling quarterly forecast
•Review of full balance sheet to ensure reconciled and identify potential risks
•Ensure financial processes are adhered to and to identify improvements in processes and systems as appropriate
•Review and challenge Project Financials at Project forecast meetings for small divisions within the operating unit
•Review of VAT returns, PSA and other tax returns
•Oversee the control recharges to contracts and JVs
•Manage the interim and year-end audit process
•Provide year end statutory information to Group Finance
As a finalist or qualified accountant with 2-3 years data analysis, financial management, business partnering and month end reporting experience gained within a commercial business environment, you will be a self-motivated, proactive individual with evidence of supporting key stakeholders. The role requires an energetic, enthusiastic approach and the ability to challenge the status quo. The group offers ongoing career development and progression UK wide and internationally.
